The KJT at a Glance

A Distinct Identity

The Catholic Union of Texas, the KJT, is a non-profit fraternal benefit insurance society that operates under the lodge system and has a representative form of government. Membership is open to all Christians. The letters “KJT” stand for “Katolická Jednotá Texaská” which means “Catholic Union of Texas” in the Czech language. It is licensed and operates only in the state of Texas. The KJT Home Office is located in La Grange, Texas.

Our Mission

Bringing About Change

The KJT’s mission is to provide fraternal, financial, and insurance programs for its members and to promote family relationships through fraternal activities of its societies and religious programs of the Catholic Church. Volunteerism among its societies for parish, community, and civic-related causes is also encouraged.

The KJT wants to spread our message of hope and compassion. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the community and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through advocacy and outreach activities, we work tirelessly each day to contribute our part to the greater good. We know that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by but also, most importantly, through the actions of our initiatives.
